About
Artist Biography
Daria Shugaieva is a contemporary Ukrainian-American artist whose work weaves feminine symbolism, emotional depth, and surrealist influences. Her paintings often explore themes of vulnerability, rebirth, and the courage it takes to begin again. Drawing from her own experience of rebuilding life in a new country, Daria uses the egg as a recurring motif—an ancient symbol of fragility, hope, and transformation.
Working in both oil and acrylics, she combines ethereal gradients with meticulous fine details, creating dreamlike worlds where cracked shells, emerging faces, and symbolic elements reveal intimate emotional landscapes. Her signature approach merges softness with precision, inviting viewers to contemplate identity, growth, and resilience.
Daria’s work has been exhibited in the United States, including during Miami Art Week at Spectrum. She continues to expand her practice through collections that examine the beauty and tenderness within moments of transition and new beginnings.
